Description
API cast steel welded gate valve is mainly used to permit or prevent the flow of liquids, but not used to modulate flow unless it is specifically designed for that purpose. If used to modulate flow, the sealing surface of this API gate valve will be damaged because of a relatively high fluid velocity.
Application
Welded gate valves are often used in such pipelines as tap water, sewage, construction, petroleum, chemical, food, medicine, textile, electric power, shipbuilding, metallurgy, energy system, etc.

Maintenance
1. Hand wheel, handle, and transmission structure of welded gate valve cannot be hoisted up and down. And collision is prohibited.
2. If by-pass valve is combined with this API gate valve, the by-pass valve should be opened first to balance the pressure of entrance and exit.
3. Please install those cast steel gate valves with transmission structure according to operating manual.
4. If gate valves are used frequently, please lubricate them at least once per month. And they should be maintained regularly.
Attention
1. Before installing welded gate valves, please check valve body, sealing surface and other parts to avoid any dirt attachment.
2. Bolts at any connection joint should be fastened.
3. Check the packing part to ensure excellent sealing performance and flexible opening.
4. Customers should pay much attention to valve type, connection size and flowing fluids when choosing gate valves.
5. When installing, some space should be left to actuate.
6. The connection of actuating device should be strictly conformed to circuit diagram.
